Description: Kelley & Oickle Enterprises Ltd., operating as Harvey’s in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, is

looking for a Cook to join our team.

Job Title: Cook (NOC: 63200)

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time

Wage: $17.00 per hour

Work Hours: 40 hours per week

Vacation Pay: at 4% of gross salary

Number of Vacancies: 1

Location of Work: 8 Pine Grove Road, Bridgewater, Nova Scotia B4V 4H5

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 Cook and prepare Harvey's menu items, including burgers, fries and our other hot items, to the

recipe, portion and temperature standards for each

 Set up the kitchen at the start of the shift, fire up the grill and fryers, and get toppings, sauces and

ingredients portioned and ready for service

 Cook orders during busy periods and make sure each one goes out hot, correct and on time

 Check food temperatures and follow our food safety and sanitation procedures

 Count stock, keep records of the food we use and waste, and tell the manager what needs to be

ordered

 Receive deliveries and store supplies in the cooler, freezer and dry storage

 Clean the grill, fryers, prep surfaces and kitchen equipment during and at the end of each shift, and

sweep and mop the kitchen floor

Requirements

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

• Experience: 2 to 3 years of related cooking experience

• Language: English

• Work Site Environment: Indoor restaurant; food preparation and service counter areas

• Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment; on our feet for most of the

shift; repeating the same tasks; handling food and takeout packages; attention to detail
