Position Summary
The food service supervisor at Fat Bastard Burrito performs a variety of duties, including greeting and serving guests, preparing food, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards and daily paperwork. He/she also handles training newer or less experienced Burrito Artists in all tasks and responsibilities.
Exceptional customer service is a major component for this position
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Supervise and co-ordinate the daily work of food counter attendants and kitchen staff on the burrito assembly line, assigning tasks and making sure orders are prepared accurately and on time.
Train new staff in food preparation, portioning, burrito assembly, cash handling and customer service, and monitor their work.
Prepare staff schedules and maintain records; estimate and order food, ingredients and supplies, and keep inventory and stock records.
Ensure food safety, sanitation and hygiene standards are followed — safe food handling, temperature checks, cleaning of the prep line and dining area, and compliance with health regulations.
Serve customers, resolve complaints, and handle cash — opening and closing the register, balancing daily sales and preparing deposits.
Open and close the restaurant, secure the premises, and report any maintenance or equipment issues.
Prerequisites:
Education: Some high school or equivalent.
Experience & Skills: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
Language: English
Physical:
- Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register.
- Position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
Hourly Rate: $18.50 to $19.50 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
